Jonathan Teatime (pronounced Tehahtimeh)

jonathan

The original figure is Aenur a hooded elf swordsman. The head was removed with a razor saw and replaced with a plastic head, origin unknown. Curly hair was added with milliput, as was a hat with feathers from the Empire Crossbow set. The sword was carefully removed with a knife and a pistol crossbow from the Mordheim plastic humans set added, milliput used to rebuild his hand and fill the resulting gaps. Short lenghts of wire were used for the bolt and strings. As Mr Teatime is an assassin I tried to add as many additional weapons as I could, not an easy task due to the stance of the figure. One of the Mordheim plastic humans has a knife through the front of his hat, this was cut off and fixed so that it looks as if it is through the top of his boots. Milliput was also used for an extra knife handle which was added above the one carried at the front of his body and for the bottom tip of a sword scabbard peeking out below his cape against his left leg. Finally, he is holding his cape across his front, Dracula style. A knife has been added to this hand which follows the line of his cape and being of assassins darkened steel is not always noticed.

He is painted a little brighter than I did Pteppic mainly due to the fact that I entered him in a painting competion but I did restrain myself and keep the cape and hat in assassin dark green. He didn't win because the figure had been converted - it didn't say it couldn't be in the rules.

Mr Brown

mr brown This is a very old Games Workshop villager to which was added the tool bag and ring of lock picks. Painted in many shades of brown for some reason.

Mr Sideney

mr sideney Mr Sideney started as a wood elf spearman but by the time I had finished with the milliput not even the Games Workshop staff could recognise their own figure, although the body is nearly as it was. I added the pointed hat and robe to the floor plus belt to hid the join and a small bag for his tools. The book and lantern are Mordheim accessories, the book was thinned down before being glued together and his hand had to be remodelled to hold it.

Chickenwire

chickenwire Chickenwire and the remaining figures have all been built out of parts contained in the Mordheim plastic humans mercenaries set. This multi-part boxed set includes enough bits to make 8 figures and contains lots of accessories. If you are keeping to the Discworld flavour you'll not be needing the guns but the rest is all good stuff.

Few details on Chickenwire, he had boots and a sword, so he ended up with a pair of legs with thigh high boots and is armed with a sword and dagger.

Peachy

peachy Peachy has a crossbow and distintive hair. I chose a head with a lot of hair and then added more with milliput, sculpting it with a pin point. In addition to his crossbow he has a sword.

Medium Dave Lillywhite

dave None of the Mordheim heads looked inteligent so one from the Empire crossbowman set was used together with one of their bodies with a breastplate. As he was only to be armed with a sword I felt he needed a little bit of armour. He has a small length of wire protruding from his mouth for a cigarette. His tattoo is not one of the correctly spelt ones. It's a red rose with the word "rows" underneath it.

Banjo Lillywhite

banjo A body with a shirt design was chosen for Banjo and to emphasize his size he was given a large two-handed sword. The origin of the plastic head is not known, it has been on a number of different figures during the past. It was just what Banjo required though, big bald and opened mouthed.

Catseye

catseye I needed another missile man for the group and a one-eyed marksman seemed just right for the name. His boots have been fashioned like a pair of Doc Martens.

Design Notes

Mr Teatime

A trained assassin. He had a young, open and friendly smiling pink and white face topped with curly hair. Pretty in a boyish way. One faintly glowing grey glass eye, the other normal eye yellow-white with small pupil like a pinhole - a tiny dot in a sea of white. He was matchstick thin, but strong and had weapons concealed about his clothes.

Mr Brown

A neat elderly man. A locksmith by trade who carried his tools around in a big leather toolbag. His tools included little springy things, little bottles of alchemy, a ring of several hundred almost identical pieces of bent wire and a crowbar. He wore neat little boots. Has used dragons to melt steel locks by feeding them carbon and twisting their necks.

Mr Sideney

A student wizard. His belongings included a pointy hat, thin book, tools, a lantern with a green filter and a small silver rod with an emerald on top.

Chickenwire

Had boots and a sword.

Peachy

Had dreadlocks and a beard you could keep goats in. A crossbow.

Medium Dave

Thoughtful and patient heavy set man. Considered intelligent as some of his tattoos were spelt wright. Smokes cigarette which he rolls himself from a bag of tobacco he carries. Sword. Protective of his brother Banjo.

Banjo

The largest man of this group. A big bald head, with pink piggy eyes, always had one blocked nostril and was open mouthed. Has a voice like distant thunder. A blank vacant face while waiting for an order or a new thought to turn up. Hand like a bunch of bananas. 35 years old. Wears an old shirt. Can lift two men in each hand by their necks. Followed Teatime like a puppy.

Catseye

Wears boots with laces.
