In 1957 a body shell with an enlarged windscreen and rear window was introduced. This model is based on the Airfix Beetle kit and runs on a Pink Kar Beetle chassis. The kit doesn't give the date the model is meant to represent but it a car from the 1963/5 period. |

The kit body was built as airfix intended, and the wheel hubs once covered with foil and painted were attached to the Pink Kar hubs. The interior was mounted on a sheet of plastic card which is fixed to the bottom of the dashboard and to the kits parcel shelf. The tops of the seats were cut off and glued in place and a Pink Kar driver figure added. The interior from a Pink Kar Beetle will fit but would need a fair amount of trimming. |
