Constables Morraine, Bluejohn, Bauxite, Coalface & Chert
Discworld trolls are about 7' high and as all current wargaming manufacturer's figures are around a scale 10' they are too tall and any way the build doesn't look right. I have therefore sculpted my own. The first ones were modified versions of the Clarecraft Detritus and the others totally scratch built. I made the mistake of using the Clarecraft figure as an armature without first thining it down. I then used these figures to work out the proportions of the totally scratch built ones and as a consequence all my trolls are that bit bigger than Clarecrafts. When time permits I will be adding lichen out of flock and foam scenic materials.
Constable Bauxite

Bauxite has been built using the Clarecraft Detritus as a base. I bent the arm and then used the figure as an armature by covering it in a thin layer of milliput and sculpted a new figure. A mistake of course as it meant this and the other trolls I did this way are now noticably large than Clarecraft's. |
Lance-Constable Bluejohn

Other than a paper clip armature to give support this is all my own work in milliput. I gave him a full set of clothes just to be different from the rest and the tartan paint job to break up the large expanse of plain colour. |
Constable Chert

| Chert is modelled carring out his traffic duties. I haven't decided whether he removed the wheel or if it was an unlawful attempt to avoid a fine. Chert is a modified version of the Clarecraft Detritus. I bent the figure's arm and then used it as an armature by covering it in a thin layer of milliput and sculpted a new figure. A mistake of course as it meant this and the other trolls I did this way are now noticably large than Clarecraft's. The Morpork (read Denver) Boot is made of strips of wood as is the broken wheel axle. The wheel is a plastic one from Games Workshop. Having thought about locks and moving parts for the "boot" I finally settled on a simply having the troll bend a metal bar to lock a moveable clamp in place. | |

Lance-Constable Bauxite
A walking lichen covered avalanche with feet.Beauxite - red coloured rock that contains aluminium ore.
Lance-Constable Bluejohn
One of the biggest trolls Vimes had ever seen. He is
big, soft, instictively gentle and rather shy. A gentle
giant with lichen all over. Was recruited into the City
Militia, along with Bauxite in MAA where all trolls were
armed with a club with nail in it.
Has become a full Constable by time of Thud,
Bluejohn - a petrifuction of blue fluor-spar or rock called 'Bleu-Jaune' (blue-yellow) because of its mixed colouring.
Lance-Constable Coalface
Basically a horizontal shape with a dark mass of fracture lines and sheer surfaces. His eyes gleamed red and suspicious. In MAA he was initially arrested for the murder of Bjorn Hammerhock (by the Day Watch), and then conscripted into the Ankh-Morpork City Militia by Detritus. Originally a privy cleaner and part time right hand troll for Chrysoprase. Considered stupid by other trolls.
Chert
A troll introduced in The Fifth Elephant. He is part of the new Traffic Division and has been out locking oak and steel triangular constructions, with yellow paint sloshed over them, around the wheels of illigally parked carts. A note was left with each cart "City Watch $15 removal".Chert - I understand is a type of flint?
Constable Mor(r)aine
He was in Holywood with his friend Flint where he played the part of a balrog and was fitted with wings and painted green. A troll with craggy features and an inscription of which he is very proud. 7 foot tall approx. Weapon, a club with nail in it.Morraine - debris of rocks, gravel etc left by a melting glacier
