A Government Inspector sent by Vetinari to inspect the
Watch. Small man not much taller than Cheery. Neat, cheap
suit but very clean, little boots sparkled, hair gleamed
more than the boots, had a centre parting and plastered
down so severely that it looked painted on his head. Brief
case with two clasps, pair of spectacles on a black ribbon.
Became Acting-Constable in the Specials with a one size
fits all helmet that spun on his head, elderly sword,
heavy truncheon and large shield. Ragged rust eaten 35lb
chain mail coat with specials badge on it, which he dropped
on his little bright shoes. Bent double with weight of
carrying equipment. Sustained a broken arm and bruises
while attacking Brick with his teeth.
Joins Watch as a Lance-Constable but with his talents
should rise to Sergeant with a room of his own within
a year. Is to become Vimes Adjutant and handle all the
paper work and reports to try and figure out what is important
and to do two patrols per week so he will learn what's
