Young Igor

Igor Design Notes

Igor

igor Igor started of as the figure of a priest. When I chose this figure I had intended only to use its head because it had a high forehead as I had decided to make igor as a cross between Frankensteins monster and the typical horror manservant. Coming from the cold region of Uberwald I had also planned to use the body of a figure in a fur lined tunic. As I was cutting the head off the priest figure a casting fault in the waist caused the figure to bend double with an inclination to one side which was just right for what I was trying to portray. The arms were cut off and replaced with a pair from my spares box. The greatcoat was sculpted in milliput and this also holds the waist together. Large cuffs were added to his sleeves and he was given a hump back. The head was realigned to suit the now bent body and additions made to the face with milliput. The surgeons box is two small pieces of wood with painted metal corners and the jar of noses is a piece of clear plastic rod with a slight indent on the base which has pink dots painted on.

Design Notes

Igor

Young Igor was recruited while in Bonk by Vimes who recognised the talents of the many Igors to be able to patch up any injuries to the Watch, without screaming and buckets of pitch. Young Igor was a bit of a rebel and did not stick with the tradition of cutting parts from dead bodies. He sometimes forgets to lisp. He is Bio-artificing for the next century and had a glass screw top pickle jar with a dozen noses all with little legs in. The legs would drop off after a few days after the nose had been applied to its new owner. He could also grow eyes and fingers. He has a pet rabbit called Eerie who has human ears all over his back.

Igor is just out of his teens but already has a network of scars and stitches on his face, and his Grandfathers hands. His eyes are on different levels and one ear is larger than the other. He has a deformed DA hair style which is greasy and black and brushed forward into an overhanging and extended quiff of a length that could take your eye out. He has two thumbs on his right hand. He has more than one heart and wears crepe sole shoes. He is a very good surgeon and can do really tiny stitches. To assist his work he has a large magnifying glass, which could swivel up out of the way on a metal bracket attached to his forehead.

Igors in General

All servants in Uberwald are called Igor. They can be recognised by their different scar patterns. Eyes are never level. Normally lurch due to one leg shorter than the other or ill fitting shoes.
