This figure started out as a short, portly human with a big mustache, to which has been added a breastplate in milliput and a halberd. As he is the ex town-crier I have modeled a bell for him to hold. |

This figure started out as a crossbowman and was cast with his left hand held out flat to hold a separate crossbow. I have put bird seed in this hand and placed a pigeon on his hat so that he now looks as if he is trying to coax it down. His other arm was cut and repositioned to hold a halberd from another figure. |

A human guard with halberd. He looks a little haughty
wearing Vimes' good pair of boots even though they still
have wyvern do on them! This was one of the few times that I have used a gloss varnish on a display model. I wanted the boots to have a real shine. |

Ping opened mouthed ready to answer. |

The Watch has progressed a long way since Guards so that at the time of Thud it is a well organized force. They now also appear to have new equipment, although that issued to the Specials is still the worst for wear. As earthly fashions come and go I have assumed that they do so on Discworld as well. I didn't want to restrict myself to a set uniform, but as I had some GW plastic multi part halberdiers, similar to those I used for the Magnificent 7, which give a uniform with slight variation I decided to use them. Unlike 30 years ago the main uniform colours are now more suitable for lurking in, rather than the bright red and white. Haddock is a straight build with a Mordheim halberd. |

Jolson is a straight build. |

Fittly is a straight build but uses a metal cross bow and arms that GW provided to convert the halberdiers into crossbow men. I chose the face as it looked the most down in the mouth. He must have just left from his encounter with Sally. |

Horace uses a few Mordhiem pieces and a shield as he is fitted out in full riot gear. From the stains and damage on the shield it looks like he saw some action. Unfortunately he did see the cobble stone and as the black armband signifies he is no longer with us. |

Hector is converted to show him having problems with the filing. I did the lettering by creating some decals which were put on the papers after they had been painted. Very pleased with the result, especially as the camera managed to reproduce them in a readable form.
His right hand is a little large but the macro on the camera emphasize this fact so it looks worse than it is.

Lewton is the main character in the Discworld Noir computer game. He is not strictly a member of the Watch as he has been thrown out for taking bribes but I had a Private Eye type figure available. A few minor changes to the figures trenchcoat and hat were made although they were not really needed. His trousers were filed down to represent his boots and his automatic was replaced with a pistol crossbow. |
Ex town crier who's voice can be heard three streets away. Small man with a large mustache.
Joined the City Militia with two other men, a troll and the wooden dummy from outside Corksocks Natty Clothing Co. in MAA.
Cautious looking young man who appeared permanently poised to answer a question.
Appears in Thud. Human
Appears in Thud. Brother of Horace. Stationed at Chittling St and put on filing duties to keep him away from the troubles.
Lewton the Private Eye
Once a member of the Watch he was thrown out for taking a bribe and from there his life descended into alcoholism and failure. Now the Discworld's one and only private eye, working the night-dark streets of Ankh-Morpork. He lopes along in a manner more Clint Eastwood in a A Fistful of Dollars than Humphrey Bogart in The Big Sleep. Wears a trenchcoat and carries a notebook. Taller and better looking than Humphrey Bogart.
